"Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association" (ASPA Agro) was put into service in 2005 in the presence of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

The enterprise, with an annual production capacity of 300.000 tons, employing up to 45-50 people, covers an area of 200 ha. As a raw material, the company purchases sugar beet under a contract concluded with the farmers working in nearby regions. Of course, this also contributes to the development of entrepreneurship in the region. Besides, the company provides the farmers with sugar beet agronomy services and agrotechnical services.
