Baku Food & Oil Factory
The Baku Food & Oil Factory was commissioned on December 27, 1997, under the name "Caspian Vegetable Ghee Factory" with the participation of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
In 2011, a project was launched to revamp the Baku Food & Oil Factory and transfer it to the Azersun Industrial Zone.
On February 25, 2014, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the "Baku Food & Oil Factory" opening ceremony was held in the Azersun Industrial Zone.
The enterprise, with an annual production capacity of 270,000 tons, manufactures quality edible oils using hands-free technology. The factory uses process equipment purchased in the USA, Italy, and France. The factory is equipped with state-of-the-art deodorizing and ventilation systems that do not cause any harm to the environment and ensure the processing of the highest quality vegetable oils.
The enterprise manufactures corn, sunflower, olive, cottonseed oils, butter, spreads, margarine, industrial fats used in confectionery, melted vegetable oils, melted butter and vegetable oils, mayonnaise, ketchup, and sauces under the "Zeytun Baglari”, "Bizim Sufre”, "Final“, “Mocuze” and "Gulum" trademarks. "Azersun Holding" is also a partner and oil supplier of the world-famous fast food chain.
The "Baku Food & Oil Factory" products are sold in Georgia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries.
The enterprise was awarded ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System, and FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System certificates. KFC has also audited the enterprise and highly evaluated its activity.
